The first ones to discover pi

  • The first ones to discover pi was the Greeks, Romans, and Chinese. The Greeks used 25/8(even though they knew 22/7 was closer.), the Romans used 25/8 and 22/7, the Chinese used 355/113. These fractions are all close to pi.(355/113 is the closest by the way.) If you don't believe me, go on to my other post called 22/7=Pi? The three of these types of people knew about 30 digits of pi. Today, the record of calculating pi was by Prefessor Kanada who calculated 1.2 trillion digits on a super computer.
